On August 15th, bring your boat and enthusiasm and join us for the 5th Annual Holt Lake Clean Up hosted by the Black Warrior Clean Water Partnership. Registration begins at 8am at Rocky Branch Park in Peterson (just of off Alabama Highway 216). Volunteers will clean up sloughs and the shoreline of litter and debris from Holt Lake with a hot dog lunch provided at 12pm. Some equipment will be provided. However, boats and related equipment useful for the clean up would be greatly appreciated.

Holt Lake, part of the Black Warrior River System, provides valuable water resources and helps ensure a safe, beautiful, recreational environment for the surrounding communities. The Holt Lake Clean Up will utilize the efforts of Alabama Power Company’s Renew Our Rivers program, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and many local agencies, community groups and businesses for the cleanup day.

Please note: Rocky Branch Park is a family friendly and alcohol free facility.
